While residential flagpoles might not be as small or as strong as commercial ones. However, they are able to withstand higher wind speeds and can withstand more severe winds than commercial ones. They can be up to six to 35 feet long. Be aware that taller poles are more resistant to strong winds. Commercial flagpoles typically have one section. This makes them much more robust. Flagpoles are built to withstand high winds. Telescopic poles are easily adjustable. They can be raised or lower. This however comes at an expense. What to look out at when you are looking for a pole

It all depends on how high a pole is. You will find weaker points if you have more sections. Imagine a gutter system. Leakage is possible with sectional varieties. The same principle applies to flagpoles, except it is not water but wind.

Halyard system

Next, the halyard is installed. This allows flags raise and lower themselves. An external halyard can be used to secure the rig to the pole. A pole can have the rig inside it, while an internal system will need to be constructed. While both are useful, the internal system is preferred for poles which will be located in areas vulnerable to vandalism.

Wall-mounting, in-ground, or nautical

Next is the in-ground and wallmount poles. You can mount poles to the wall if your flags are smaller or you have less space. These are great for advertising, urban gardening and other purposes.
